Maastohiihto Levillä osa 2. Aloittelijaystävälliset ladut, latukahvilat, ahkiot ladulla

Levi tarjoaa parhaimmillaan 230 kilometriä huollettua latuverkostoa ja 28 kilometriä valaistua latua vaihtelevissa tunturimaisemissa. Kaikki ladut sopivat niin perinteiselle- kuin luistelutyylille.

Cross-Country skiing in Levi part 2. Beginner-friendly ski tracks and ski cafes

Levi offers a 230 km serviced track network and 28 km of illuminated tracks through varied
fell scenery. All tracks are suitable for both traditional and skate skiing styles. The ski season in Levi lasts right up until April/May.

LEVI'S EASY TRACKS

Levi’s versatile
network of ski tracks also offers beginners and children a more even terrain for skiing. Check out the Levi ski track map and choose the right ski route that suits you. Ski tracks marked blue on the track map are considered easy. You can also purchase a paper track map from Levin Matkailu (the Visit Levi tourist Information Centre). You can also plan your track route on Levi’s free track map service on http://www.infogis.fi/levi, where you can see real-time track maintenance status, dog tracks, track cafés and their opening hours.

Take the easy route from Immeljärvi, and even ski toward Kätkäjärvi, where an excellent track café will open in the spring. Suppose you don't ski all the way to Kätkäjärvi but turn left at the t-junction before Kätkäjärvi. In that case, you will be able to reach the South Slopes along the route easily.

From the South Slopes, you can pick the easy track all the way to Sammun-Tupa, for example. This track offers a beautiful wilderness atmosphere under the captivating Levitunturi.

As winter ensues, the blue (easy tracks) from Levi towards Luvattumaa, the Elves' Village and Rautuskyla open as the ice on the lakes and swamps start to withstand the weight of the cross-country ski trail groomer.

SKI CAFES
A wonderful day cross country skiing in Lapland also means enjoying something tasty along the way. The rest of the track cafés also open their doors in the spring and winter, so you can enjoy cross-country pancakes on the camp-fire with coffee or hot juice on the ski tracks. You can even make your own food

All track cafés in the Levi area are marked on the electronic track map service view their opening hours.

PULK SKIING ON THE TRACKS

You can also go on a traditional ski trip with the whole family, as you can pull a pulk (pull sled) on the Levi tracks. It is recommended to use a traditional skiing style, making it easier to go along the pistes (ski runs). You can rent a pulk where the little ones in the family can travel around on from Levi’s Zero Point rental shop. The backrest is adjustable and has safety glass, we also recommend that you bring a heat bag or blanket for the pulk, so that the passenger stays dry and warm. Single or double occupancy pulks are available for rent.

Pulks (pull sleds) can also be rented from Hill Ski Rent Levi.
