Joona Kangas is one of the most successful and followed freeskiers in Finland. Joona made his first descent on Himos Ski Resort in Jämsä, but after the whole family moved to Levi, when Joona was just 8-years-old, the circumstances of practising got even better. At Levi, Joona grew up to be one of the best freeskiers in the country.

He won a golden medal at Slopestyle from World Junior Championships in Italy, Valmalenco 2014 and his best ranking in the FIS Freestyle World Cup has been 7th. One of his best achievements was coming in 11th place in the Slopestyle World Cup championship in Snowmass, USA.

Joona heads to Levi's terrain park right from his doorstep. Joona is known for his stylish and creative skiing style. At its best, Joona has almost 200 days on the slopes during the winter season! Joona's Instagram account has thousands of followers, who are eager to see his photos and videos of his awesome jumps and tricks at Levi. Joona is also known for his freeski films, from which he has also been awarded in international competitions.

Open-hearted, happy and inspiring Joona is a familiar sight at Levi. Joona is a member of the Levi Ski Club and Freeski society.
